Hereford—Tickets are available for the second Big Mamma’s Steak and Dance Night, which will take place Saturday, May 9 from 6:45pm to midnight in the St. Anthony’s School Gym at 120 West Park Ave.
The fundraiser, to benefit St. Anthony’s School, is sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council #2778 at St. Anthony’s Church.
“The Knights and the Technology Committee at St. Anthony’s School have joined forces to create an event to help further our technology plan for the school,” said school spokesperson Elaine McNutt. “We invite everyone to join us for an evening of fantastic food and fun, while supporting our school and assisting us in replacing and upgrading our technology.”
Tickets for the fundraiser are $75 in advance on or before Wednesday, May 6 and $85 afterwards. The evening includes a steak dinner, dancing to the music of Young Country, a dessert bar and the chance to win a two-bedroom, two-night stay for a family of four at 3 Bear’s Lounge in Red River, which also includes a $150 gas card.
The evening will also include a wine pull, a Calcutta board and a mini live and silent auction.
Table sponsorships are available for the fundraiser, with Silver Sponsorships available at $650 and Platinum Sponsorships for $850.
“There are many levels of sponsorship that will help us raise money toward technologically enhancing the education of our children,” said McNutt.
Tickets are available from either the school office or the St. Anthony’s Church parish office at 114 Sunset during regular business hours. Tickets will also be sold after all weekend Masses at St. Anthony’s Church on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.
“For those unable to attend who would like to contribute financially to the school’s tech upgrades, we are asking folks to help contribute to one of five needs we have,” said McNutt. “We are hoping to raise funds to purchase 30 additional classroom iPads and 20 classroom iMacs. We are also hoping to raise funds toward purchasing a digital marquee for the school and to purchase weather satellite and safety radios.
“Finally, we are hoping to use a portion of the evening’s proceeds as a kickstarter for the school’s rewiring fund.”
