Amarillo—Proclaiming the Beauty, Goodness and Truth of Marriage is the theme of a free marriage workshop set for Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center, 2100 North Spring.
Greg and Julie Alexander, co-founders and co-directors of the Alexander House Apostolate, based in San Antonio, will present the workshop, according to Gwen Johns.
“The Alexander House Apostolate is a lay-apostolate dedicated to building, enriching and strengthening marriages,” she said. “Greg and Julie have presented numerous workshops, seminars and talks to thousands of participants across the world. They have co-hosted three series on EWTN and are the authors of Marriage 911: How God Saved Our Marriage and He Can Save Yours Too.”
During their two-hour presentation, the Alexanders’ will offer their personal testimony, while including teachings of the Catholic Church on marriage, citing statistical date on the state of marriage. The couple will also ask participants to work on enriching and strengthening their own marriages, while assisting in building a marriage ministry in their own parishes.
There is no cost to attend the Aug. 3 workshop and a love offering will be collected to help the Alexander’s cover their expenses. For additional information, please call the Office of Family Life for the Diocese of Amarillo at 383-2243, ext. 129 or the Bishop DeFalco Retreat Center at 383-1811.
