Amarillo—Middle School youth in the Diocese of Amarillo are encouraged to attend and take part in Holy Fire!, taking place in Oklahoma City Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27.
“Holy Fire! is a Day of Encounter and Faith formation where students are called to embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ and challenged to fulfill their baptismal call,” said Diocesan Youth Director Oscar Guzman. “Youth can look forward to relevant and dynamic speakers, peer witnesses, praise and worship music and experiencing the richness of the sacraments in a brand-new way. Holy Fire! helps your youth feel seen, heard, welcomed and called to change their lives through Christ alone.”
The weekend includes the Holy Fire conference and a pilgrimage to the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine, where the group will attend Sunday Mass.
Early-bird registration is $285 per person, which includes registration, transportation, lodging on Oct. 26 and one meal. This early-bird cost is lower, depending on sharing a room with someone and providing their own transportation. The deadline to take advantage of the early-bird registration is Tuesday, Oct. 1. After Oct. 1, registration is $305 per person.
“A $75 per person deposit is needed NOW,” said Guzman. “This is a non-refundable deposit. I do encourage those joining us to bring extra money for at least three meals and for any shopping.”
