We, the Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Amarillo, culturally diverse, as priests, deacons, religious and laity, through this Diocesan Assembly, commit to work with the Bishop for the good of the whole
diocesan community, and through a spirit of evangelization, prayerfully seek to:
- Build unity among all peoples,
- Discern the spiritual needs of the faithful,
- Foster an ever-more faithful witnessing and
- Following of Christ,
- Build up the Body of Christ, and
- Inflame apostolic zeal as a foundation for the
- Church’s pastoral activity.
With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit we seek to become a Catholic community rooted in a deeper understanding of what it means to be Church in the Diocese of Amarillo.
We humbly petition the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Laurence, our patron and all the angels and saints to secure the graces needed to discern and carry out the will of God for this portion
of the people of God.
